چکیده

Abstract Studies on plant invasions depend local and regional checklists of the alien flora. However, global overview studies have shown that some regions, including many African countries, remain understudied in this regard. To contribute to filling gap, here we present first checklist plants Sudan South (the Sudans). We analysed taxonomic geographical composition species list. Our result show 113 Sudans (99 59 Sudan), 92 (81.4%) are naturalized 21 (18.6%) just casual aliens. The number represent 2.2% total flora (4096). belong 44 families 85 genera, them native Southern America Northern (85.8%). Annual perennial herbs prevailing life forms (68.1%), and, among species, underrepresented whereas woody tree over-represented. Alien mostly used for medicinal environmental purposes globally. predominantly occur man-made disturbed habitats, such as agricultural ruderal habitats. This should stimulate further research recording better understand drivers consequences Sudans.

Mapping the Potential Risk of Mycetoma Infection in Sudan and South Sudan Using Ecological Niche Modeling

In 2013, the World Health Organization (WHO) recognized mycetoma as one of the neglected tropical conditions due to the efforts of the mycetoma consortium. This same consortium formulated knowledge gaps that require further research. One of these gaps was that very few data are available on the epidemiology and transmission cycle of the causative agents. Previous work suggested a soil-borne or ...
